Identity & Self Worth
Pray that young people will know who they are in God and not allow comparison, rejection, bullying or the opinions of others to define their worth.
As a pastor, my journey of serving and caring for young people began in Sunday School. Over the years, I have had the privilege of walking closely with children and young people, teaching them, listening to them, praying with them and seeing many of the joys and challenges they face as they grow.
Through this journey, I have come to recognise the deep need for God in this generation. Our children and young people are growing up in a world filled with opportunities, but also with pressure, confusion and challenges that can shape the course of their lives in ways that are far from what God desires for them. The challenges they face are immense. Issues of identity and self worth, bullying, peer pressure and many other struggles are becoming increasingly common in the lives of young people.
I feel a burden in my heart to stand in prayer for them. To pray for the little children, the teenagers and the young adults. To pray that they would know God, be rooted in His Word, discover who He created them to be and walk in His purpose. To pray for their protection, their families, their health, their relationships, their decisions and their future.
GIANTS LIVE Prayer is a response to that burden. We are gathering to bring this generation before God, lifting up their lives, their families and their future in prayer. We are believing God to work in their lives, to draw them to Himself and to guide them into His purposes.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

Every generation needs to be intentionally brought before God. Children, teenagers and young adults are growing up in a rapidly changing world with real pressures affecting their identity, self worth, relationships, safety, education, health, choices and future.
Pray that young people will know who they are in God and not allow comparison, rejection, bullying or the opinions of others to define their worth.
Pray for protection from violence, abuse, exploitation, harmful influences and situations that can threaten their wellbeing.
Pray for young people who are facing anxiety, loneliness, emotional pressure and other challenges affecting their wellbeing.
Pray for health, wisdom and good decisions, including awareness around issues affecting young people such as HIV and AIDS.
Pray that they will know God, be rooted in His Word, discover their God given purpose and walk in His ways.
Pray for parents, caregivers, families, friendships and other relationships that influence the lives of young people.
Pray that they will grow into people of character, wisdom, courage and influence who honour God and serve their communities.
We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.
